Our Story

Sovushka workbench — tools, files and gold in progress
Handmade in the UK · Small studio · Made to order

1) Where we began

Early days. One bench, a torch, and an obsession with proportion and comfort.
First commissions. Simple bands evolved into engagement rings, remodelling heirlooms with restraint.
Sovushka. The name nods to quiet craftsmanship — pieces that feel personal, not loud.

Aim: jewellery that looks refined on day one, and even better after years of real wear.

2) What guides our work

Fit before flash Comfort profiles, balanced heights, secure settings. If it doesn’t wear well, it doesn’t leave.
Honest materials 9k/14k/18k gold, responsibly sourced stones, finish options for how you live.
Serviceability Rings designed to be resized, re-finished and loved for decades — not disposable.

3) Inside the atelier

Bench-made process at Sovushka — filing and forming gold

Every piece is fabricated, set and finished at the bench. Form is rolled, soldered and trued; settings are cut under magnification; surfaces are finished through staged abrasives for a clean, lasting sheen.

White gold can be rhodium-finished on request. We’ll advise what’s best for daily wear.

4) Hallmarks & assurance

All precious-metal items are UK hallmarked: 375 (9k), 585 (14k) or 750 (18k), plus our maker’s mark. It’s your proof of fineness and traceability.

  • Stones: natural or lab-grown — documented on request.
  • Ethics: conflict-free supply, repairable by design, halal workflow.

5) Today & tomorrow

We keep production small so decisions stay close to the bench. That’s how proportions stay right, lead times stay honest and the finish looks like something you’d happily gift — or keep.

Need a refresh or resize later? Care Services covers polish, rhodium and sizing.

6) Start your piece

Tell us the style, metal, stone preferences and deadline. We’ll reply with a quote and timeline.
