Gold Purity & Certifications
Last updated: 20/09/2026 • Gold fineness marks, maker identification and gemstone documentation
We use solid 9K, 14K and 18K gold in our fine jewellery. Each gold piece is stamped with its fineness and the Sovushka maker’s mark, giving you a clear indication of the gold standard and the maker of the piece.
Contents
1) Gold fineness marks
The fineness number indicates the proportion of pure gold in the alloy:
| Gold standard | Fineness stamp | Pure gold content |
|---|---|---|
| 9K gold | 375 | 37.5% |
| 14K gold | 585 | 58.5% |
| 18K gold | 750 | 75.0% |
Each gold piece is stamped with the appropriate fineness number together with the Sovushka maker’s mark.
2) Solid gold standards
Our fine-jewellery gold pieces are made from solid gold rather than gold-plated, gold-filled or vermeil metal. Depending on the design, pieces may be offered in yellow, rose or white gold and in 9K, 14K or 18K.
The exact metal, colour and karat available for a piece are shown on its product page before ordering.
3) Identifying your piece
Inside a gold ring you may see the fineness stamp, 375, 585 or 750, together with the Sovushka maker’s mark. Placement may vary depending on the width, profile and any engraving requested.
These markings are intentionally discreet so they do not distract from the appearance or comfort of the jewellery.
4) Diamond & gemstone documentation
Where a diamond or gemstone is supplied with an independent grading report or certificate, this is stated on the product page or provided with the order. Documentation depends on the individual stone, size and specification selected.
If certification is important to you, contact us before ordering and we can confirm exactly what documentation is supplied with the piece you are considering.
